Commie country!?

I gather from poking around in the TV news and on line that apparently I live in a Communist country. Sigh. Gee, I must have been thinking the wrong way lately (all my life!). Yep, if we just all get together and stop "hating", all will be peaches and cream.
So it's all us little folks; blacks, hispanics, union members, and all the poor, v.s. the rich, white, big business and etc. And leading the fight are the Democrats, Liberals and highly educated "we know what's best for you" folks. How about that? Wow!
I need somebody to tell me what to do and how to think. Al Gore? Hmm. At the gas station filling my SUV up, going to a rally to save the planet from greenhouse gasses. Everybody else drove their cars too. It may have been cold in the morning so we all clicked up the heat in the house to take the chill off. Took a shower with hot water from the tank. Used our curling irons and blow-dryers to fix up the hair. All that took gasoline, electricity or natural gas.....ever think of that? Well I just guess all that conservation stuff is for the "other guy". ( Our houses are made of wood from the forrest. Cars made of metal, plastic, glass and rubber. That water bottle in the cup holder has to go to the landfill. Golly, everything we touch somehow seems to hurt the planet in it's manufacture.)
Now "everybody" is entitled to a job, house, car, mortgage, college degree, and healthy long life. Wow! That's cool! Who would'nt want all that? How could we have been so stupid for so long, before Mr. Obama came along and showed us the light? All we have to do is want it and it will come true.
Here's the deal: everyone make sacrifices. Spread the wealth around. We're all gonna be equal. We'll all have the same cars and homes. Nobody will have more than the next guy. And, we'll all be much better off, everyone will love us, even the Terrorists will have lost their reasons to hurt others, no crime, no sick people. But we all have to stick to the rules now. It will all be voluntary but there will be a need for some enforcement to keep folks in line, you understand. It will only work if we all tow the line.
Sounds like Utopia. Hey, the Soviets started out with a good idea but screwed it up somewhere along the line. Right? I hope so, anyway. Us here in the U.S.A. won't mess it up. We can make it work. It doesn't have to be called Socialism......yuk. We'll call it " Hope and Change".
